Contemporary Western Art: More than Cowboys & Indians

The Sedona Art Museum presented a talk by Seth Hopkins, Executive Director of the Booth Western Art Museum. Seth spoke on Contemporary Western Art: More than Cowboys and Indians, tracing the artistic developments in Western art over the past 50 years.

The Booth Museum, a Smithsonian affiliated museum, is the largest permanent exhibit space for Western art in the country.
In 2015, the Booth Museum celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Cowboy Artists of America, a group which got its start in Sedona by local artists Joe Beeler, Charlie Dye, John Hampton, and George Phippen.
